Tim Richards is active in the Parks and Recreation field as a consultant, as a volunteer, and as a writer, editor and educator in playground safety.

His background includes various positions leading to 10 years as director of a small parks and recreation department in a community near Victoria, B.C.

He has served on numerous committees with the BCRPA and chaired the Vancouver Island Parks Superintendents group for several years.

Tim Richards has served as the President of the Fairfield Community Association in the City of Victoria. While there he focused the organization as a vehicle for community volunteers, and organized the association to be an effective voice of the community.

He holds a Diploma in Public Sector Management (DPSM) from the University of Victoria

As a consultant his skills include group and community processes, – clarifying goals, motivating, and developing and executing action plans.
